A fitness, food & wellness retreat
Three days of training well, eating well and getting outside.
Kinfolk is a small, relaxed retreat for people who enjoy strength training, good food and wild places.
Each day starts with a strength session led by Blair Robertson. There are group walks and hikes for anyone who wants to join, but the rest of the day is yours to shape: walk, swim, rest, read, or simply switch off. Meals are home cooked by Blair and eaten together around one table.
Groups are kept small, so you’ll know everyone by the end of the first evening.
What the days hold
Train
A daily strength session, coached and scaled to you. Focus on moving well, not on being flattened.
Eat
Home cooked meals, made generously and not calorie controlled. Everyone eats together.
Explore
Group walks and hikes for those who want company, plus time by the water and in the open air. Join in, go your own way, or do nothing at all.
Recover
Space to switch off, with the possibility of sauna and cold plunge. Nothing here is a requirement.
Better together
Training is easier in good company, and food tastes better when it’s shared.
Training side by side
Strength sessions are done as a group, so you train alongside people who enjoy it as much as you do. It’s about encouragement rather than competition: everyone works at their own level, and nobody is left to figure it out alone. Small numbers mean Blair can coach each person individually.
Eating around one table
Every meal is cooked from scratch by Blair and eaten together. There’s no counting, tracking or calorie control, just generous, honest food that you can enjoy fully after a good session. Plates are passed, seconds are encouraged and conversations tend to run on long after the meal is finished.
By the end of the retreat, people usually aren’t strangers any more. That’s the idea behind the name: kinfolk, a group who feel like family.
What it isn’t
You don’t need to be an athlete. You do need to enjoy training and be happy in good company.
- No bootcamp
- No packed schedule
- No pressure to join in with everything
